Personal Improvement Insights On How To Turn Pain Into Success

I want to start by giving credit where credit is do.

I was motivated to write this post by a Motivational Speaker by the name of Eric “The Hip Hop Preacher” Thomas.

You can check his inspiring self help website here (I get nothing for this recommendation nor do I know him).

Before diving into my “Rant” today I want you to check out this video by Eric.

Simply Amazing…

After watching this video I realized that I’d became complacent.

I’d lost a lot of the necessary drive to move me to the next level.

I’d been asking the wrong questions.

In looking forward I began to look backwards.

Over the past two years here at Nerd Nation and my other endeavors have brought me much success.

However, I got comfortable.

Settled back into a routine of comfort.

Repeating a routine I’m not so proud of.

Justifying letting some of my “Bigger Dreams” slip by because after all…

…I was doing great. Right? Ahh…Bullsh*&^%

My health is suffering.

My relationship with my daughter could be stronger.

My single life sucks.

I’m just lacking balance and have too much comfort in my business life.

To some they’d be happy.

For me …not so much.

Because I’ve gotten comfortable, I’ve fallen into a pattern of not planning my days consistently, not reading nor listening as much as I should, and generally just “settling” for the daily norm.

We, as humans, are funny creatures.

When we are experiencing the “PAIN” we take action.

You tell yourself that your going to do X or never do X again.

You are motivated for that quick second.

Then…

…Life takes over and routine settles in and that very real pain we just suffered is a distant thought and gone.

Pain is a part of life.

How we embrace and utilize it will become the determining factor between a mediocre or Outstanding Life!

I’m not saying you need to suffer or constantly remind yourself of the pain.

I’m simply saying that if you and I can find a way to harness that pain and keep it as a reminder daily of our real goals and “MUSTS” in life then we stand a much better chance of reaching our dreams and desires.

So the FIRST thing you and I need to do is Accept The Challenge and turn your pains into success.

Step out of our comfort zones.

Put ourselves in uncomfortable situations so that we are expanding and growing.

You must not be afraid to struggle.

You must grow from one mistake or pain to another.

We will make mistakes and we will experience pain.

How will you react when the call for improvement comes?

Accept the Challenge and step up right now.

So the next time you experience Pain, or as I prefer to call it, “Growth, ask yourself this question?

What must I do right now and daily so that this never happens again?

How can I put a system or structure in place to move past this and grow from this?

How can I step up?

How can I create that “Must Have Oxygen” experience in this part of my life as Mr. Thomas talks about in the video.

(Video is Above)

The Second thing you MUST DO is decide to become “Excellent”.

I’m talking about working harder then anyone else.

For me one of my personal challenges is going to be to learn “French”.

Why?

Because I just took on a client whom I believe has a Tremendous opportunity.

Both in terms of Empire Building in business and changing the world with his content.

I want to be part of that in a big way.

Therefore I want to challenge myself to speak his language.

This will require taking control of my time so that I can master this in the next 6 months.

This will mean doing my homework up front and finding the right strategies, tactics, self help material and mentors who encourage my improvement.

Then scheduling it and doing the work.

Using my “Off” time.

Getting up early.

Listening and Learning when I don’t want to.

This is a part of my story that seems to pop up over and over again.

But guess what?

I’m not a quitter and I keep getting more clear and move that much closer to my dreams.

I will keep persisting with my personal and professional development.

Will you?

I hope so.

I’m prepared to take all my past pains and turn them into opportunity.

Not repeat them and grow.

Good luck my friend.

And..

…If I can be of help then please let me know.

I’m here for you.

This is my mission.

How can I help?

Please email or comment and let me know.

To your success,

Dexter
