“Wisdom”…What is it? Lesson’s learned from my 100 year old mentor!

Dear Friend,
What I’m sharing today isn’t fun.

If you don’t have thick skin this may offend you.

I apologize in advance. But I believe it’s something we all need to think about. (Including me)

For the most part of my life I’ve been told that one of the best benefits of getting older is gaining “Wisdom” which aids in your personal improvement.

That’s complete B.S.

It’s simply not true.

It’s just a myth passed around by older people to pretend like what they’ve learned during their miserable existence meant something.

They’ll do their best to sound intelligent and wow you with their “Wisdom”.

Yet…ask this question.

“Show Me?”

And they will scramble away faster then a cockroach when the lights come on.

Getting Older Doesn’t Guarantee Wisdom!

You will only gain wisdom by making a steady stream of mistakes and learning from them.

Repeat

Repeat

Repeat

That’s when you’ll actually have something to share.

As you get older you’ll now have (hopefully) a crap load of mistakes you’ve learned from.

Now you can share what you’ve learned.

An example of this was my mentor Harry Miller.

He came into my life when I needed him. I was lost, troubled, and needed direction.

Harry had more wisdom then just about anybody I’ve met since then.

I wish I’d not been so young when I knew him. Looking back he had so much to share.

He was successful.

Had five children, a loving wife, and probably over 100 or more business venture in his life.

Everyday thinking of ways to optimize one of his already successful ventures or looking at new possibilities.

I’ll never forget that last time I saw him.

He was inside of an elderly retirement home. (by the way he lived on his own til he was 98 years old and didn’t move here till the last year and a half of his life)

He had just met with one of his daughters who was voted the small business association business person of the year (for the USA) for the second time in 4 years.

He was gloating about that and…

…telling me about a new idea he’d came up with to tap into the War Veteran market.

On that same visit he shared with me stories of invading Germany, running one of the first professional basketball teams called the “Piggly Wigglies”, and his adventures in his partnership with the Miss USA and MISS Universe pageants.

I mean talk about wisdom.

He spoke of the early morning moments he had with his wife of 70 plus years.

Everyday they’d arise together and go to kitchen and eat the same breakfast. A half a grate-fruit each, some oatmeal, a piece of toast, and a poached egg.

It wasn’t the food or the routine that made him smile.

It was the smile on his face when reminiscing about his “morning conversations” with his wife that I remember the most.

He promoted fights of some of the greatest boxers of the 1950’s and 60’s.

Had successful multi million dollar per year businesses. Some which live on today through his children.

He Was best friends with community leaders and politicians.

So much more…

I got a front row seat for about ten years as I learned from the wisdom of his past and watched as he made mistake after mistake moving forward.

One thing was constant though with Harry.

Perpetual forward motion. Always looking to succeed and not accepting failure.

————————

Problem is most people live “Quiet” lives in safe little corners where everyone else makes the mistakes for them.

It’s about climbing to the top and falling down.

This can be in making and losing fortunes, building and then seeing your business collapse, finding the perfect “Lady” and then ruining her and the relationship, etc…

…Sound familiar?

Well I hate to say it but that’s where wisdom comes from.

In my case I’m at that point in life where I’m F*%#$ fed up with my excuses for repeating the same mistakes over and over again.

I’m getting some things right and I’m resolved to get other things right as well.

Am i going to continue to make mistakes?

Yes…

But I’m committed to finally getting more and more “Right” so I gain that word we keep talking about.

WISDOM!

I can’t think of anything worse then becoming and old man with nothing to really share.

Are you riding the Ferris Wheel called “Fear” and “Safety”?

Shitty place to be if you ask me.

What I’m referring to is taking some chances on those dreams you’ve put on hold for so dang long.

Now…Let me get something straight right here and now.

I’m not advocating you go out and quit your job and starting doing “What your passionate about”.

That’s complete and total B.S. as well.

An hour here or there. Outside of taking care of your responsibilities to your family and safety.

Side Note: If part of your plan was to wait for the safety net of social security then you might want to take a look at that plan after all and pay attention to what’s going on around you. Just might not be there when your counting on it.

Hey don’t get mad at me I’m just being your friend.

Dogs, Plants, and people whom say what you want to hear are not your friends.

Companions YES…but friends NO!

I’m here to slap ya up side the head and wake you up.

Just as I wish someone had done to me years earlier at times.

After this kick in the nuts. (sorry ladies but I’m too lazy right now to think of a better metaphor)…

…I expect a few of you to tuck your tails and hit the nearest “Nerd” door and never look back.

I probably offended you and I certainly hope so.

Otherwise I’m just being that dog or plant we spoke about earlier.

Here’s some truth though.

If you’ve read this far and are on this list then I believe you fall into a different category then most int he Internet Marketing Opportunity Seeker World we live in.

That being the case I’m determined to be the guy who shoves you outside your comfort zone as often as possible.

I’m going to try and move past the Lazy Crappy emails and provide you with the “Stuff” you really need.

Which is truth and harsh reality.

So expect that from me and look for it.

If I don’t deliver then don’t waste your time here and move on because I suck.

So right now get off your A.S.S. and start working on that project or take a few calculated risks you’ve not taken.

All just to get you growing and earning some of that Wisdom we spoke of earlier.

O.K.

I think I’ve earned the right to offer you a few resources to help you do this.

Quickly…

Tomorrow, this Wednesday, I’m hosting my Content Leverage Seminar.

This could quite possibly be the most important thing you’ll ever do for you online business.

Why?

Because 95% of the damn SEO or Traffic crap you read about doesn’t work. Which frustrates the hell out of me. (To see what we shared with our private mastermind on what we’ve learned on how to drive traffic, you definitely want to go see this here . . .)

The truth is that you’ve simply got to create Kick Ass (very good) content and then get it found through syndication.

I’m going to give you exact details of a system that’s taken me hundreds, if not thousands, of hours to put together.

You can try and piece this together yourself or go to the warrior forum and try and find it for $7 from some schmuck holed up in a shack in Siberia…or

You can learn it directly from my mouth in real time in two days.

And take a look at the PDF I spend so much time putting together for you.

AND…

Dang it…Hit the order button already.

———————————-Next (or gosh forbid you actually took action on both my suggestions here) if the above doesn’t appeal to you then get the answer to this question I get asked more then anything else.”Dexter, What is the ONE THING I can do to ensure I have the highest possible chance of succeeding as an entrepreneur?”Easy answer. You MUST develop a system for managing the massive amount of information that is coming at you. Then you need to flip the switch on your “Action Quotient”…

Meaning spend more time taking action on what you learn.

I share my exact system for doing so and much much more in my Focused Action Productivity Course right here…

Take a look
