Why Should I Listen To You?

Question: What makes one tiny little email list of less than 1,500 people, outsell another list 17 TIMES BIGGER … by a factor of 3.5 times? In other words … 3.5 times more sales from a list 17 times smaller.

Well … it's the same answer as why another really tiny little list — that grows at only 10 subscribers per day (some times less than that) — Generates as much as $1,000 per day.

Both lists? Our list here at MNTN....

Hey Dexter here...

As you may of guessed that's not my "real" name.

However, it's my legal pen name, avatar, and everything I'm about to share with you is 100% true.

Seen as tho you're here … lemme tell you a little story about why I think you'd be smart to listen to what I have to say.

Chances are you know me from www.mynotetakingnerd.com . This is where Nerd #2 (Lewis Lalanne) and I poor our hearts out to you, give you notes from the Guru Seminars, and much more...

I've done quite well for myself in recent years. But frankly, life wasn't always like this and that's what I'd like to share with you.

In fact, about 6 years ago I came home from a business trip to find my "Lovely Ex" and my newborn daughter ...GONE!

I also arrived home to IRS Agents hot on my trail for taxes rightfully owed. I'm still dealing with some of those issues.

This experience left me financially and emotionally bankrupt.

I went from routinely counting hundreds of thousands of dollars to (A sickness and some belief alignment issues that would require a whole other website) to counting pennies.

I was down on my luck, hopeless, and frankly downright depressed.

I moved into what my friends affectionately called "The Bum House". Slept on the couch and basically didn't move for about two years.

I just couldn't get out of the funk I was in.

Before I go forward let's take a step back.

Rewind 15 years and you'd find me on my quest for Personal and Business Improvement.

From about 1990 (or so) till 2005 I had attended so many seminars I can't remember them all.

This ranged from 11 Anthony Robbins Unleash the Power Within Weekends, his Mastery University, all the way to his Platinum Mastermind Group (55K a year).

I attended just about every single "Live" Jay Abraham seminar available. Not sure I missed any. To this day I still hold Jay's Mastermind Marketing as one of the best business seminars EVER!

I remember the Dan Kennedy seminars. Wow...Dan was always so dang good at what he does. Nobody is better at giving you the "Real" shit you need to hear. I attended his "Brass Balls Conference", Copywriting Seminars, all the way to his Monstrous Glazer Kennedy Seminars of today...

Read (i estimate) between 600 and 1,000 books...maybe more.

Studied NLP extensively. Was intrigued by Milton Erickson.

I traveled the world. Had nice things and a very nice home.

Business?

• Was mentored by an 84 year old Master Businessman who started and owned the largest printing press in the United States of America. 

• He Took Me off the mean streets and taught me lessons I'll never forget. 

• Learned the publishing business from him and bought Little Leaguer Magazine. (yep baseball for the youngsters) 

• Grew it from a "Small Town Advertising Beg" to a $25,000 per page publication bought by Sports Illustrated for Kids. 

• Started, Grew, and Sold a successful Fundraising business. (yes their is allot of money to be made in non-profit marketing) 

• Bought into and still maintain an ownership in one of the largest circuses in the U.S. 

• Began my online career when I began to see the writing on the wall. 

• Several successful Niche Online Businesses. 

I say none of this too impress you. But to impress upon you that I've been where you have been and probably done a bit more.

I've had a Million Dollar Plus Net Worth and I've been $400,000 in debt.

I've also had to sell my change to eat.

In all of this nothing could take away my desire to succeed nor the knowledge and wisdom I'd obtained.

One core strength I had through all of this was a unique gift to take the complex and simplify it down to it's core essence.

I'd been doing this with my seminar notes for years.

I'd go to a 3 day seminar and come back with 23 pages of notes that I could share with someone in just a few hours.

However, one thing always stuck out to me...

When I'd share the information I knew that I wasn't leaving anything out. I was literally giving this $5,000 worth of information I'd just taken 4 days of my life for and sharing "All of it" in just a fraction of the time.

...So back to me being down and out!

It was during this time that I had an epiphany.

One of those "Slap On The Side Of The Head Moments"!

I was still getting all the mailers and marketing materials from the Guru's.

Only one problem.

I didn't have the money to go.

And at this time there wasn't a whole lot of real good information sandwiched between the Guru, his $5,000 program, and the books at the bookstore.

I decided right then and there that I was going to become the "Middle Guy" for people like you and I.

Born out of this period of my life was the Nerd Site you've hopefully grown to love today.

Am I popular. With some and with other's I'm probably hated.

But just like Renegade before me I'm o.k with that.

So what can I offer you?

Wisdom and a unique ability to bring you a ton of information in a fraction of the time and cost.

It's kinda like having your own Note Taking Nerd sitting front row getting the stuff you need.

Now...I'd like to say that today things are very different for me.

I live in a very nice neighborhood on the border of Gilbert and Queen Creek Arizona. Surrounded by two amazing "full service" clubhouses. Both have ponds stocked with fish that my daughter and I can catch and release as we please. Kids pools that rival water parks. Adult lounges that you can "unwind" in and much much more...

Did I mention my "Little Angel"? Yep...She's my life, my heart. I'm unfortunately not with my ex but we share parenting duties with our precious gift.

I have the luxury of working from home, doing what I want when i please, and my little girl is with my 24 hours a day when she's with "Daddy". As a matter of fact my consulting clients will tell you they all know her because she's a constant presence on my phone calls. lol ...

...But everyone knows she comes first.

Later this year I plan to move into my dream home. It's surrounded by a "World Class" golf course and has the Largest Clubhouse in the world. I'm talking 3 restaurants, full time barber, men's salon, resort style pool, Olympic modeled fitness center, and much more....

I work only when I want to, which frankly is a crap load and I love it. By the way! If anyone tells you that you don't have to work in internet marketing they are full of crap.

I work with a small, select group of consulting clients. Some pay me a lot. Some pay me very little. I get to choose though and I love helping people grow.

All of this, for a guy like me, who came from nothing (I grew up in a tiny little town in Idaho and came from a very broken, dysfunctional family)....this is Heaven!

Some Truth!

I'm nowhere near where I want to be. I'm stretched in places I shouldn't be and I'm emotionally pulled in areas of my life that cause stress sometimes.

But I'm working hard to better myself daily.

Today, I am focused almost exclusively on growing what I call "Nerd Nation".

My goal is to become "The Place" you come for information to grow your business and better your life.

I want to work hands on with a select few clients, publish original content, and share "My Take" on the biggest and best seminars on earth.

I CARE!

My clients will tell you that whether I'm booked to spend 30 minutes on the phone with them or not I'm outcome oriented.

I've been known to spend 4 hours when I was only paid for 30 minutes.

Some call me crazy. I just love my job and my clients.

If you take one look at the quality of our over 1,000 pages of content at our blog you'll know that we care.

This should be a hint at what we plan to provide for the Premium Members.

Loads of Very Hard Work, Tons Of Creativity, And Relentless Determination!

That's what it's taken for me to begin to overcome my setbacks and failures.

That's my mindset going forward.

I'd be lying if I tried to "Sell" you on the concept of the easy road to take.

I just haven't found that road.

Nor do I think it excist.

This is exactly why we share an equal amount of "Inner Game" material at our Blog, via emails, and reports as we do the hard hitting "Business and Marketing Information".

We know that it's not easy and it takes a certain mindset to achieve what you want.

Also, above I mentioned how our little list is kicking the butts of many much larger Gurus and Lists. Guess Why? I believe it's because we care more. I believe it's because we appear more human then the other guys. Maybe I'm wrong but the numbers don't lie.

My Back story in a nutshell.

• Born and raised in small town in Idaho.

• Had a somewhat easy rise to Monetary Success. 
• Everything fell apart. 
• Dug in and started the climb back to success. 
• Still a work in progress but I'm getting there.

• Now I live, in a nice home, in a very nice neighborhood, and live life on my terms.
